Privacy

Short version: mirosta sets no cookies, uses no third-party analytics services, loads nothing from third party servers and does not know who you are as long as you do not write to us.

Visitor count

The only exception to what this page otherwise says about outside services: every page loads a small counting script from analytics.axaix.app, the network's own statistics server. It is hosted in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and the data is not passed on to third parties.

The script sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It records the page viewed, the page the visit came from, screen width and language, the broad device type, browser and operating system, and clicks on downloads and on links to other websites. Your IP address is used only briefly to determine country and city and to form a daily hash, then discarded and never stored. The hash changes every day, so a visitor cannot be recognised from one day to the next. Raw data is deleted after twelve months. If your browser sends “Do Not Track”, the visit is not counted.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the reach of these pages with as little data as possible (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Server logs

Our hosting provider stores the usual technical data on every request (IP address, time, page requested, browser) for security purposes and deletes it after a short period. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not evaluate these logs for profiling.

Fonts, images, videos, maps and scripts

Everything on this site is served from our own domain. No Google Fonts, no external scripts, no embedded maps or videos from third parties. The world map is drawn by our own code from public domain outlines; it never contacts a map service.

Interactive tools and quiz

The brew calculator, the caffeine calculator, the aroma wheel, the roast level explorer, the brewer finder and the coffee type quiz run in your browser. They save your entries and your quiz result in your own browser (local storage) so that they are still there on your next visit. Nothing is transmitted to us. You can delete that data at any time in your browser settings or with the reset buttons.

Sharing on social networks

The share buttons are simple links. Only when you click one does the network in question open in a new window and learn which page you want to share. No network is contacted when you visit our pages. The result image is drawn in your browser.

Newsletter and contact form

If you subscribe to our newsletter or write to us, we store your email address and your message in order to answer you and, for the newsletter, to send it to you until you unsubscribe (Article 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR). Every issue contains an unsubscribe link. We do not pass your address on.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR) as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Simply send us an email.
